Great Spangled Fritillary, (Speyeria cybele)
I saw the first Great Spangled Fritillary butterfly yesterday. Here it is feeding on a Pale Purple Coneflower. This flower is in the Rock Pond garden that Merv Wallace put in for us next to our barn.
