Leatherwood Blooms

Today for the first time I found Leatherwood in bloom. The tiny waxy blossoms are no more than a third of an inch long.

There are two small leatherwood trees in Butternut Bottom near the indian rock shelter. The trees were a gift of Jamie Coe, the former manager who worked here for more than two decades.
