Schedule a Visit

We welcome visitors to stroll around the PGT April through October. All we ask is that you let us know a day ahead if it’s your first visit to the area. A large map display on the porch, along with a map brochure can help you find your way around the trails. Wayfinding signs help mark the way. We have paved trails leading to Beaver Lake and the Lotus Ponds, and mowed trails through the prairie, woods and down to Hillers Creek. Along the way to Hillers Creek we also have two new overlooks with benches.

Directions:

from Jefferson City

  • Take Highway 54-E about 16.5 miles north to BB (about 4.6 miles n of New Bloomfield)
  • Turn right onto BB and follow it 1.9 miles
  • Turn right onto County Road 430
  • Follow the road about .6 mile
  • Go left on CR 431 and follow that .3 mile to the parking area on your right.
    The PGT Center is just up the sidewalk.

from St. Louis (about 2 hours from the city)

  • Take Hwy 70 west to
  • Take exit 148 for US 54 at Kingdom City
  • Turn left onto US 54-W towards Fulton
  • Continue on US-54W past Fulton (don’t take business 54 there)
  • At about 13.5 miles south of Hwy 70 turn left on State Rd. BB
  • Follow BB 1.9 miles
  • Turn right onto County Road 430
  • Follow the road about .6 mile
  • Go left on CR 431 and follow that .3 mile to the parking area on your right.
    The PGT Center is just up the sidewalk.

from Columbia (about 40 minutes)

  • Take Hwy 70 east to
  • Take exit 148 for US 54 at Kingdom City
  • Turn right onto US 54-W towards Fulton
