Comfort
Nature is great, but you can enjoy it most if the bugs don’t bug you. To avoid pesty chiggers and ticks, wear boots or sturdy shoes and spray your socks/slacks with bug repellent. Hats also help in the summer sun.

Food & Picknicking
The porch at the PGT offers a place to picnic if you’d like to bring lunch or a snack. But we’re pretty much a pack it in and pack it out sort of place at this point. So thanks in advance helping us keep our maintenance costs low and letting our groundskeepers focus on working with the flowers, trees and trails instead of trash.

Pets
No pets please. We know people enjoy walking their dogs outdoors, but this isn’t the place to do it. Instead, we support lots of wildlife that make their homes here: deer, turkey, raccoons, opossums, coyotes, songbirds, woodpeckers, hawks, butterflies, dragonflies…the list is long!

Wheelchair accessiblity
We now have 2 wheelchair accessible parking spots along a concrete circle drive with a paved path to the PGT center. There are wheelchair-accessible restrooms on the east side of the building and paved paths are accessible from the side porch on the west side of the building. The paved paths to Beaver Lake and the Lotus Ponds are smooth but have some elevation in parts that may require assistance.

Parking & Vehicles
There is a 25-car paved parking lot. No off-road vehicles, bicycles, boats or horses. Buses can dropoff in front via the circle drive and park ahead along the circle or in an overflow gravel lot.

3G coverage
Most of the property has excellent 3G coverage…even down at Hillers Creek.
