500 Tennessee Warblers!

I’ve been birding with Tim Barksdale at the Prairie Garden Trust the last two days and we’ve seen a lot of birds.
Here are just a few of the cool warblers we’ve seen:

  • American Redstart
  • Hooded Warbler
  • Cape May Warbler
  • Blackburnian Warbler
  • Bay Breasted Warbler
  • Black-throated Green Warbler
  • Wilson’s Warbler
  • Magnolia Warbler
  • Yellow Warbler
  • Blackpoll Warbler
  • Golden Winged Warbler

… and of course Tennessee Warblers. They seem to be everywhere. Tim estimated that we had 500 of them on our 600-acres this morning.

It really helps to go out with someone that knows the birds and no one knows the birds better than Tim.
