Now that fall’s almost here, nuts are starting to become obvious on trees. These are White Oak acorns, an important source of food for many kinds of wildlife.

White Oak is the most common big tree found in the woods at the Prairie Garden Trust (PGT). They can live for hundreds of years and as they get older they become majestic.
