Buckeye Butterfly, Junonia coenia

Lorna and I saw this Buckeye on our walk at the Prairie Garden Trust yesterday. The eyespots make the ID pretty straightforward. 

I encourage you to come out for a walk at the PGT. It’s wonderful this time of year and fall color will be starting soon.
