Chanticleer – a Pleasure Garden

Hydrangeas

Public Gardens often focus on education, research and conservation. Occasionally they focus purely on pleasure. One of the gardens we visited while at the APGA conference was Chanticleer.
Chanticleer describes itself as a “Pleasure Garden” and it really was. I was inspired by it! This was the kind of garden where you keep stopping and smiling and saying “Wow!”.

I’m trying to figure out how they did that simply by using plants in a landscape. I hope that one day the PGT can be a pleasure garden.
