Monarch Butterfly, Danaus plexippus

The migration is mostly past, but yesterday Lorna and I came across a small stand of asters with a cloud of monarchs. It was a wet spot, so it probably had steady nectar. I didn’t see them anywhere else, just this one spot, working the flowers hard.
