Common Buckeye, (Junonia coenia)

Common Buckeyes are worth searching for just to see their color. Purple, blue and gold ringed with black, rich orange gradients, herringbone patterns. Amazing!
I just photographed this one in the warm season grasses around Beaver Lake.
