This afternoon I photographed an Eastern gray squirrel hunkered down in a hickory tree next to our house. It was using it’s tail like an umbrella against the rain.

We have three kinds of squirrels at the PGT. The Eastern gray squirrel, the larger and redder Fox squirrel and nocturnal Southern Flying Squirrel.
