Feverwort on the shore of West Lake
Lorna and I go out for a picnic almost every day. Today we parked under the shade of a White Oak tree by West Lake. The shore of the lake was ringed with a plant that had many tiny white flowers and opposite leaves that clasp the stem.

Using the iPhone to to look it up I discovered that the plant is called Feverwort (Eupatorium perfoliatum). Apparently it was used by Native Americans to break fevers by means of heavy sweating; hence the name feverwort.
