I took Sam and Pete out for a walk and thought I’d bring my bird lens along just in case.
I noticed the Flowering Quince was in bloom so I stopped to inspect. I noticed movement that I thought was a bumble bee but quickly realized that I was seeing my first hummingbird of the year. I fired off a few shots and it was gone.

I’m glad we put up our hummingbird feeders last week.
