Some years these yellow coneflowers fill the prairies, but other years, like this one, there aren’t many. I’m not sure why there aren’t more this year, we’ve had more than enough moisture. 

You can find Gray-headed Coneflower blooming now near the “Mima Mound” and along mowed trails through Indigo Prairie.
