was surprised and delighted to find this sparrow yesterday. In the past they’ve nested at the PGT, but I haven’t seen them all season and I was worried that they were gone. Grassland birds like this are among the most threatened birds in the United States.

I found the bird in the prairie above Beaver Lake at the Prairie Garden Trust (PGT).
