I see and hear Indigo Buntings more than any other bird this time of year. Many birds quit singing after spring nesting, but not Indigo Buntings; and while many birds go quiet mid-day, buntings sing all day long.

At the PGT you can find Indigo Buntings in many areas, but the edges of Indigo Prairie is a good place to start (that’s how it got its name).
