Chicory, (Cichorium intybus)

I found a small patch of Chicory blooming at the PGT today and I’m trying to decide if I should kill it. The plant is native to Europe but can now be found over all of North America. Even though it is exotic it apparently is not invasive. It is not even listed in Invasive Plants by Kaufman.

Right now I think I’ll just observe it and see what happens with it. I find it attractive and it is nice to see that it can thrive despite the drought we are having this year.
