Along the trails at the PGT there are occasional metal markers in the ground like you see here. These permanent markers designate spots where I set up my camera each spring to shoot the exact same picture again-and-again, year-after-year. I’ve been doing that for 8-years now. I try to always take the pictures in the end of April, but before the leaves are fully out. I decided that today would be that day so I spent several hours out finding the markers, setting up my camera on the tripod and making sure the picture was level so that it would register precisely with the pictures from previous years, just like frames in a movie.
