The prairie grasses are starting to put out fresh leaves, responding to the heat and rain. This is one of Lorna’s favorite grasses because it doesn’t grow so tall that it blocks your view; it’s usually not over 3-feet. 

The best place to see this at the PGT is at The Savanna. That part of the property was never plowed, and the Little Bluestem was already there.
