Lotus Leaves

In addition to having spectacular flowers, American Lotus also has appealing leaves. It helps if they have back lighting like you can see in this shot. 

To see the lotus at the Prairie Garden Trust (PGT), follow the paved sidewalk to the Lotus Ponds, about a 10-minute walk from the PGT Center.
