New England Aster, Symphyotrichum novae-angliae

Asters are my favorite fall wildflower. Besides being beautiful, they are a critical fall nectar source for pollinators, especially Monarchs as they migrate to Mexico. 

At the PGT you can find Asters anywhere there is full sun. An easy place to find them is in the garden right outside the front door of the PGT Center.
