New Exotic Invasive: Privet

New invasive exotic plants keep appearing. Today I found a clump of privet plants hidden deep in the woods. They must have escaped from someones garden. Matt and Duncan will cut them down and treat the cut stumps with concentrated Roundup (glyphosate). One useful tip for finding invasive exotic species is that many of them keep their green leaves after the natives have gone dormant. If you see a green shrub in the woods in November it is worth taking a close look to see what it is.
