After a long weekend of work, the treehouse crew removed the old, dead tree and built a new viewing platform overlooking the lotus pond. They were disappointed to see their multilevel treehouse come crashing down, but the new deck there still creates a wonderful place for visitors of all ages to pause in their strolls around the Prairie Garden Trust.

This second photo shows Joan (who enjoyed watching the crew), Bernard (who led the creation of the treehouse design) and Alexander (who enjoyed the use of tools and time with the guys, including his father, Nick, and older brother Chaz).
