Ninebark

Ninebark, Physocarpus opulifolius

Lorna picked a flower covered branch from this native shrub to decorate our dining room table. If you look closely you can see tiny red anthers floating above the white petals. In a few days the red fades to brown.

At the PGT you can find them blooming now along the sidewalk as you approach the Lotus Ponds. I’ve also found it in gravel bars on Hillers Creek.
