Pickerel weed is one of my favorite water plants. The showy violet-blue flower spikes attract butterflies and the flowers keep blooming all summer long. 

It grows along the edges of ponds and can be found blooming now at any of ponds and lakes at the Prairie Garden Trust (PGT).
