Many people confuse native water lilies with lotus. The easiest way to tell them apart is that waterlilies leaves and flowers float on the water’s surface while lotus leaves and flowers are a few feet above the water on stalks. 

Both are blooming now at the Prairie Garden Trust (PGT).
