This iconic prairie plant has colors so bold that it’s hard to believe it’s a wildflower. It’s just started to bloom and already I’m seeing butterflies feeding on it. 

At the Prairie Garden Trust (PGT) you can find blooming now in from of the visitor center. You’ll also see it along the sidewalks and scattered on the edges of the mowed paths through the prairie.
