Walking around Potter’s Lake yesterday we saw a hummingbird feeding at an obedient plant. They are fattening up now to prepare for migration. They’ll start leaving for Central America in the next couple of weeks and within a month they’ll all be gone. 

One of the best places to find hummingbirds at the PGT now is at the Cardinal Flowers along the edge of the Lotus Ponds; the flowers are very red.
