Fall starts this Wednesday and I’m starting to see a hint of fall color. Some of the Sassafras and Sumac leaves are turning red. 

Sassafras is a small understory tree. At the PGT you are most likely to find it growing in small clusters under a larger tree at the edge of the woods and along fence rows.
