Sneezeweed, (Helenium autumnale)

One of the many flowers with yellow blooms right now is Sneezeweed. It tends to occur in moist places. I found this cluster of flowers growing in a gravel bank in Hillers Creek. It is called sneezeweed because the dried leaves were used for making snuff.
