So not Las Vegas

In the light of a late autumn day, stillness is broken only by the occasional nuthatch, woodpecker or squirrel as I walk along the creek. This is the antithesis of the recent conference in Las Vegas that Henry and I went to for healthcare design (HCD10). Instead of birds, the sounds of casino machines and crowds of people kept any sense of stillness away.

As we do all it takes to make the Prairie Garden Trust a place where people can enjoy the beauty of nature, it’s probably good to be reminded of how increasingly rare, valuable and restoring a place of nature can be—where every visitor is a winner.
