Some of the early spring wildflowers are so small that they are easy to miss.  One that you can find forming carpets along the paths at the PGT now is Bluets (Houstonia caerulea).  The flower is no more than 10mm across. To see it you have to get down on your hands and knees.

These would look good in a rock garden.
