Looking for birds along the newly opened edge of the South 40-Woods

We saw 65 different kinds of birds today on our annual spring bird-walk. For the last three decades we’ve held this walk on the last Saturday in April. That is a good time because many of the migrant birds are back and the leaves are not fully out on the trees. Jim D. Wilson led about 20 people on the four-hour walk. Except for the wind it was a perfect spring morning.
