Spring Peepers in the Fall

Pseudacris crucifer
Spring Peeper, (Pseudacris crucifer)

One of the earliest sounds of Spring at the PGT is the singing of the Spring Peeper. The frog is so small that I rarely get to see it even though I always hear their song. As I explored some of the dry creek beds today I saw some movement that I thought might be a tiny insect. On closer it was this Spring Peeper.
