Sweet Coneflower

Sweet Coneflower, Rudbeckia subtomentosa

There are so many different kinds of yellow flowers in the prairie that it’s hard to keep them straight. This one is called Sweet Coneflower. It looks a lot like Black-eyed Susan, but it’s much taller.

At the PGT you can find it blooming in most of the prairies, but the best place to look is Indigo Prairie.
