Thistles don’t get enough appreciation! Native thistles are beautiful and are important nectar sources for many kinds of butterflies. 

I found my first thistle bloom yesterday and, in a few weeks, they will be putting on quite a show. At the PGT you can find them scattered over wide areas in the prairies and along the edges of the woods.
