Twelve-spotted Skimmer

Libellula pulchella
Twelve-spotted Skimmer, (Libellula pulchella)

In addition to the ponds, lakes and creeks at the PGT we have several very small ponds. I call them “puddles”. They are supposed to be great for amphibians and are also a place to show off native plants that like to keep their feet wet.
Today at the South 40-woods “puddle” I found this large dragonfly; a Twelve-spotted Skimmer.
