If you see bright red leaves on a vine right now it might be Virginia creeper. Unfortunately, a lot of people think it’s poison ivy. Remember, “Leaves of three, let it be; leaves of five, let it thrive”.

At the Prairie Garden Trust, you’ll find a few Virginia Creeper vines near the tops of the trees along the edge of the woods. There’s an especially nice one in the Persimmon stand just west of the Lotus Ponds.
