Water Lily

Water Lily, Nymphaea odorata

Many wildflowers bloom only for a week or two and are then done for the season. In contrast, Water Lilies start blooming in May and only quit in October after a freeze.

Water Lilies are among the most photogenic of the native plants. At the Prairie Garden Trust (PGT), you can find them at Beaver Lake and in the ponds next to the Lotus Ponds.
