Wild Ginger, (Asarum canadense)
It is uncommon to see the flowers of Wild Ginger. They lay right on the soil under tightly tucked leaves in the deep woods. The leaves had been chewed off the plant revealing the flower you see here.
I held it up to the sunlight for natural illumination.
