Winged Sumac

Winged Sumac, Rhus copallinum

A close-up showing a leaf of one of our native shrubs. It’s called “winged” because it has little flaps (wings) along the stems between the leaflets

At the PGT a good place to find sumac is on the main path to the Savanna but look for it along any of the paths that get full sun to light shade.
