Yellow Crownbeard, (Verbesina helianthoides)
We are starting to see some results from the planting we did last winter. This morning we found Yellow Crownbeard just starting to bloom in the new savanna on the edge of the Dogleg Prairie.

Yellow flowers that resemble asters are often very hard to identify; but I believe this plant is Yellow Crownbeard.
